Accommodation The accommodation at Hartpiece is in tune with today's holiday mood. Offering idyllic views from the sundeck, a great hall with log fire, hot tub, sauna and chef-style kitchens, this is the ideal "country home from home."
"Hartpiece .. the accommodation is top rate!"
Hartpiece offers the best in self-catering for two to twenty-four. We offer the site as a whole or as four separate, self-contained wings. This assures flexible accommodation to suit your party's size and preferences. The Farm, Hall and Tappen each have their own unique character.
Rooms The views are spectacular from all rooms, looking southwards over rolling Devon pastures little changed over the centuries and classified as an area of Greater Landscape Beauty. The air is clean and clear and the night silence unbroken.
Bedrooms offer comfortable beds and crisp linens to assure a perfect night's sleep. Each room is tastefully decorated - with comfort and practicality in mind. Radios and TVs in most rooms.
Dining, living and rec rooms are generously provided for and supplied with comforts and amenities such at TV's, DVD's, stereos and telephones.
Kitchens fit for a chef throughout - Four kitchens each offer top quality units and seriously good gear for the week-end gourmet or holiday entertainer.
Large tack rooms - no problem stowing bulky gear out of the rain at Hartpiece Farm.
A summer chalet in the grounds is a perfect hideaway for artistic contemplation (as well as a hit with teenagers who want to try their hand at camping).
Laundry rooms - each property appointed with Siemens' latest washer and drier.
The room outside your door - our favourite place to be. With its southern exposures, it's often possible to lunch on the flagstone-paved terrace, even in December. Or to dine al fresco on the decking in the shade of big white umbrellas.
Hartpiece Farm Hartpiece Farm is suitable for any combination of two up to ten people, with further space for two teenagers in the Summer Chalet. It is a convivial retreat perfect for relaxed weekending or weeks away. Groups of friends or extended family will find its two kitchens, patio decking, five French doors, and upstairs and downstairs lounges give everyone space to be together, or to slip away to their own space. At Hartpiece, early birds' fry ups and teenagers' late-night telly can happily co-exist.
Hartpiece Hall Designed to provide maximum comfort for up to eight adults, and with enormous main hall accommodating up to 24 for sit-down dinners. Special guests will particularly appreciate the master suite giving onto a stunning patio.
The guest suite gives spacious accommodation on the same level as the entry and main rooms. Both bedrooms ensuite and can be made up as king-size double or twin beds and optional additional single bed. Additionally, two further downstairs bedrooms can be made up as twins or doubles and share a luxury family bathroom with big tub.
Hartpiece Tappen With exposed beams and round stone central pillar, tradition and easy-living blend perfectly in the Tappen. Victorian bevelled mirrors and rich colours add charm to a practical, contemporary layout. The two-bedroom Tappen is equipped with modern en suite wetrooms. Open-plan lounge leads on to the kitchen, dining alcove and stone patio with stunning views. Beautiful antiques, deep sofas, comfy beds and wonderful kitchen make the Tappen a homely home from home.
Guests Comments "We were here for my husband’s 60th birthday. What a weekend! The properties were perfect – giving us all a little space for privacy but the Hall was great for getting together. We've never stayed in such well-equipped-high-spec accommodation before. There's everything you can think of. We’ll be back." The Johnstons and friends, March 2009
"A fantastic weekend. Amazing wedding venue. A marquee on the car park, a hog roast to eat & a ceilidh in the evening. The kids loved the hot tub - we couldn't get them out. A fantastic place for the whole family." The Horns & Pruniers, May 2011
"Had a great time despite weather as the facilities so good for group gatherings. We will certainly recommend Hartpiece! Thanks!" The Winch & Kirbyshire families, July 2011
